Last Sunday we went to the 'winter festival in the neighborhood'. Iris and I
we arrived late, and so we could not document the social, fun activities that the district has organized for the occasion to meet and party. All hath been held at the Hamilton school (apparently we are right near the beating heart of our neighborhood!).
There are many activities: the snow sumo (mmm. .. interesting, no?), Colorful designs in the snow (wow, more than the yellow pee I had never tried to color the snow!), Battle of snowballs ( a classic), skating (a classic here) various outdoor games with the abundant snow, while in art activities, hot chocolate, dishes (bean? possible?) hot to refresh the mind and especially the body. and then also a lottery (but we have not won anything).
It was fun to try to interact with people, not just because they heard our name and saying "oh, are you Fiona's ...?" ... yes! ... So we already know (it is Fiona's cousin who has found the house in which we live until June, has four children more or less of our age and is very active in the district) - are all here
very kind and patient. we all take for someone to English and make the super-nice start to speak French because yes, in fact, Italy and France are close then the language will be more or less the same.
and there was a person that make-up children. but Diana did not believe mica, and so soon as the girl touched her face she has definitely decided that it was just right. and David ... voila: beautiful, right?
and saw that we were inspired to return - a bit 'in a hurry and with objects of luck - me and David have built our first snowman two (or maybe better ... snowperson' snow- alien 'seen the shape of the head ...):
I know I know, we are still newbies and sculptures by Picasso, which seem more real snowmen. but who cares? We still have a lot of months to improve! ps and at the techniques learned in Italy to build a good snowman, do not work here. snow is of different texture! and how do you build a snowman?
